Books
VM Roberts began writing as a hobby at age ten. Her passion for becoming a published writer grew over the years. In 2010, her dream came true with the release of her first book, Memoirs of A Girl From Suffolk.
Over the past fourteen years, she has written thirty (30) books. Her genres include crime thrillers, women’s fiction, young adult novels, and children’s books. Stay tuned. Her future endeavors involve penning a historical novel, a book of romantic short stories, and the third book in her memoirs. Hang on, an avid lover of westerns, her ultimate dream is to publish a western novel. By the way, her favorite writer of westerns is Louis L’Amour.
A Suffolk, Virginia native, Roberts resided in Trenton, New Jersey, for ten years, eventually settling in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Philly was her home for more than 35 years. Roberts currently resides in Howard County, MD. These cities and their surrounding areas are often the settings for her writings.
When she’s not working on her full-time job or writing, her hobbies are listening to oldies music (R&B), dancing, and walking her German Shepherd, Piper. She loves comedies, westerns, action, drama, and film noir movies.
When Roberts reads leisurely, her favorite authors are James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, Tami Hoag, David Baldacci, and John Grisham.
Roberts is a healthcare administrator with over forty years of experience in the industry. This experience has allowed her to serve as a college instructor for fifteen years. She holds an MPH in Epidemiology (Purdue University), an MBA in Health Administration (Eastern University), and a BA in Journalism (Temple University).
